On the 8th-anniversary stream behavior interactive Matt S (Design Director) has confirmed the DBD 2 V 8 mode is coming to the game and more details of the new mode will be updated in July.

Also, they have confirmed that the new DBD mode will be released in late summer of 2024 which is around in September. So, the Dead by Daylight 2v8 mode will be released in September 2024.

The initial release of the game will be for testing purposes where they collect feedback from the players and then make changes to the game based on the player’s opinion.

Dead by Daylight 2 vs 8 Mode Killer & Map

On DBD 2 V 8 mode initially, the same original 5 killers will be featured where now you can take 2 killers in the same match along with 8 survivors.

But in the future, there will be new killers to be added to the game, with new abilities and unique gaming styles.

Also, with more people and killers in the new mode, new updated maps will be added to the game with new locations and more tasks to complete to escape the map.

Due to more people and a bigger map size now one game of the new DBD 2v8 mode will take up to 15-20 minutes to complete whereas, in the previous mode, it will take around 10-15 minutes.

Dead by Daylight 2 vs 8 Mode New Features

With a new mode in DBD, there will be new features to be added in the 2v8 mode, where in the previous mode the survivors can do any tasks randomly.

But in the new mode, there will be a new class feature added where every survivor has specific tasks to complete like running a generator, collecting medical supplies, etc.

For the killer now there is a new team power feature to be added where killers can transfer some power to other killers while in a certain radius.

More likely the killers don’t have any classes they will play with their power but now there are 2 killers so they can make their own gameplan and hunt all the survivors quickly.

Also, there will be no hooks in the 2 v 8 mode instead a new cage system will be added which works the same as hooks.

In the new cage mode as the player is hooked three times, he will automatically teleport to the cage instead killer has to take him.

So, due to the new cage mode now, the killer can eliminate the time of picking up and carrying a survivor to the hooks.
